Jared Vinson founded Summit Cyber Advisors on more than 15 years of experience leading enterprise security architecture, M&A cybersecurity integration, and cloud security strategy for financial services and healthcare organizations.
His background includes serving as a principal security architect supporting mergers and acquisitions for a global financial institution with more than $650 billion in assets — leading security due diligence, inherited risk analysis, and integration planning for every acquired organization. That work has included security architecture leadership on a landmark, multi-billion-dollar regional banking acquisition — an approximately $8 billion deal that brought more than one million customers onto a single, unified platform.
Earlier in his career, as Director of Cybersecurity & Virtual CISO, he pioneered and scaled a managed security services practice from the ground up into a trusted cybersecurity partner for healthcare, finance, and enterprise organizations — serving more than 3,500 users and guiding clients through SOC 2 readiness and Zero Trust implementations.
Jared holds an MBA in Cybersecurity from the University of Texas at Tyler, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and has hands-on experience applying AI-driven security analytics and cloud governance across Azure and AWS. That combination of deal-side M&A security experience, regulated-industry compliance leadership, and emerging AI risk expertise is the foundation Summit Cyber Advisors is built on.
